Plants Vs Zombies is a great addictive game from PopCap. Once you start playing it, you can only stop when you complete it to several endings. I downloaded this game in Russian language and without understanding anything, I started playing it. Stage after stage the game got more difficult so I decided to change the game language.
I checked each file in the game folder but found nothing to change the language. XML files in sub-folders didn’t helped much since those were limited to error logs language only. I looked over Google but couldn’t file the solution. However now I found a way to get my game in English language. In fact, you can change the game to ANY language you want!
Solution is very simple. The game does not store your progress in the game folder. It saves the game in the USER folder. Since all the files in save folder is binary, you don’t have to worry on the language. Just download correct version of the game from the PopCap site and install it in your computer. You can install it in the same folder where your OTHER language game is installed (Russian in my case) or to any new folder if you do not want to risk your game progress. Run the newly installed game and VOILA! you are seeing your progress in the English language game too!
Have fun (^_^)
